I didn’t build this
from the
finish line.
It isn’t really about me. But if you’re going to take anything from this, you should know where it came from. So here’s the short, honest version.
It started with wanting to be free.
Not private jet free. Ordinary free. Owning my time, choosing where I am and who I’m with, and not letting my bank balance quietly make my decisions. I wanted money to be a tool instead of the thing in charge.
Trading became the arena.
It offered a real shot at that kind of freedom, and it gave me a scoreboard. Every day it showed me, in numbers I couldn’t argue with, how I’d actually behaved.
Then the same things kept happening.
I over-risked. I chased. I revenge traded after a bad morning. I passed challenges and gave the money back. I followed the plan right up until the moment it mattered, then abandoned it. I changed strategy the second things got hard. I knew what I should do and kept doing something else.
Slowly I saw the bigger picture.
Some of it looked like a trading problem. A lot of it wasn’t. It was impatience, needing to force outcomes, hating to wait, and making every result mean something about me. Trading didn’t create those things. It exposed them, and it put a number on the consequences.
So I started working on myself differently.
I started exploring meditation, breathwork, shadow work and the beliefs behind my behaviour. I worked on regulating myself under pressure, staying with a process, and not letting every outcome define me. I got more disciplined in small, ordinary ways. Some of it helped more than I expected.
The pattern had a shape.
The more I looked, the more the same six things kept turning up underneath the behaviour: what I believed, the thoughts that came out of those beliefs, the emotions those thoughts produced, the conditioning I’d inherited without choosing it, who I thought I was, and the material reality all of it kept building. That became the Reality Web, and the Reality Web became the spine of the Protocol.
Why Journey of AUM exists.
I wanted to document the things that genuinely help me get better and build a life with more freedom. A lot of what I’ve learned applies well beyond trading, and your arena might be completely different. I haven’t figured it all out and I’m not pretending to. I’m still in it, still testing, still getting things wrong. That’s just where I actually am.
There is no
Future You
coming to rescue you.
For years I deferred it. The version of me with more capital, more discipline, more certainty was going to handle all of this properly. He never showed up. What I had was the version standing there at the time, making the decision badly. That’s the only one who was ever going to do it.
I’m not a guru,
and I’d be suspicious
of one if I met him.
I’m not a therapist, a doctor or a licensed practitioner, and nothing here is any of those things. I haven’t transcended anything. I still get it wrong.
What I have is the lived version of the problem, several years of working on it, and a structure built out of what actually helped. The framework came from getting through it, not from watching someone else get through it. That’s the claim, and I’ll stand behind it.
If this sounds
like where you are.
The 28-Day Protocol is the structured version of all of this. Or start free and get a feel for how it thinks first.
